Range Orders New

A Range Order submits one buy or sell only after price or market cap has remained inside a chosen band for a continuous duration. It filters out brief touches that would trigger a Classic Limit Order.

Range plus duration

The band can use absolute values or percentage changes from the current value. The timer starts when the value enters the band and resets whenever it leaves.

SettingMeaning
RangeThe price or market-cap band the order watches
DurationHow long the value must remain inside the band without interruption

Example

Suppose a buy watches $0.90–$1.00 with a 10-minute duration:

  • Price enters at $0.96 and stays there for 7 minutes
  • A move to $1.02 resets the timer; no buy is submitted
  • Price later re-enters at $0.98 and remains in the band for 10 uninterrupted minutes
  • QZAR then submits the buy

Set the confirmation condition

Choose Buy Range order or Sell Range order from a token or pool trade menu, then set:

  1. Trigger type: price or market cap
  2. Range in absolute values or percentages
  3. Duration the value must remain inside the band
  4. Expiry for the whole order

Amount, wallets, source tokens, execution settings, and optional TP/SL match the Classic order flow, only the confirmation condition changes.

A completed timer is a submission signal
It does not guarantee a fill inside the band. Price can leave the range while the transaction is being submitted, and execution still depends on liquidity, route, balance, slippage, and fee priority. Funds are not reserved while the timer runs.

If the timer keeps resetting

The order detail shows whether the value is inside the band and how much of the required duration has elapsed. Frequent resets usually mean the band is too narrow for current volatility; a duration that is too long may filter so aggressively that the order expires first.
